Lori Sellmer
Principal Designer & Founder
Lori was born and raised in Calgary and found her passion for design at a very young age. She never wavered in her commitment to the field of residential design. As an award winning design student, she graduated as an architectural technologist from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. Working for one of Calgary's largest homebuilders she honed her skills in both drafting and interior design.
With over 20 years of design and interior decorating experience, Lori's clients are supported with an extensive construction and design know-how. A love for travel and zest for life is evident in her structured, classic, yet slightly eclectic design style. After living overseas for three years, you can always find her ready to hit the road in search of new inspiration.
Sarah Barr
Interior Designer
Sarah brings a combination of technical precision and creative flexibility to her role at Lori Sellmer Design. With a background in finance and consulting, she was drawn to design for its problem-solving and detail-oriented nature. She supports projects from early millwork drawings through finishes, lighting, and furniture layouts—translating strong ideas into refined, personal spaces. Her design philosophy is rooted in what lasts, favouring thoughtful layouts, enduring materials, and details that make everyday life easier. Outside of work, she’s often with her red golden retriever, Goose, at pottery class, or on the golf course with friends.
Morgan Kelly
Interior Designer
Morgan grew up on Long Island, spending over a decade in NYC refining her eye for detail at the intersection of luxury interiors and product design. At the studio, she brings depth and cohesion to every project she is a part of, and a grounded sensibility to furniture procurement. Her selections are always thoughtful, favouring balanced designs and well-made pieces with character and purpose. A mother of two young daughters, she is forever updating and decorating her 1930s home. Morgan finds calm in her early morning workouts, and is rarely far from a new recipe or a well-made coffee.
